Terms and conditions.

Yay! You'll have your device repaired by us. To make sure the repairs are done in the best way possible, it's important that you're familiar with our repair conditions. You can find them below.

The most important terms and conditions:

  • Are you letting us examine your device, but not repair it? You'll pay € 19.50 research costs, or € 59 if it's a Mac or MacBook.
  • Always completely turn off the 'Find My' function, otherwise we can't repair your device.
  • It's your own responsibility to make a backup of the data on your device. We might delete it.
  • If you send us your device, you bear the risk and the costs if your device gets lost or damaged during transport.

All repairs terms and conditions

Provide device

  • To get started as soon as possible, we need complete access to your device for diagnoses and tests.
  • Always completely turn off the 'Find My' function, otherwise we can't repair your device.
  • Delete all locks, such as pin codes, patterns, and fingerprints or provide them to us.
  • You can provide them online in the comment section or via the form when you hand it over in the store. If you don't do this, we have to ask you for the codes or wipe your device. You'll also have to wait longer for your repaired device.
  • Did you provide the requested (personal) information incorrectly or incompletely? We have the right not to process the repairs or to charge extra costs. We'll try to ask you for the correct information first, of course. This also means that you'll have to wait longer for your repaired device.

Repairs

  • We'll repair your device as quickly as possible and almost always within 14 working days.
  • When we open your device, we need to remove the screen protector. We can't replace it.
  • Sometimes we need to reset and wipe your device to repair it. So always make sure you have a backup.

Price

  • The costs for your repairs include VAT and consist of 2 parts: the phone part and the installation.
  • We'll examine your device and tell you before the repairs how much it's going to cost.
  • Whether you have to pay for the repairs yourself depends on your device and if the device is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
  • As soon as you agree to the costs and we take your device for repairs, you're obliged to pay these costs. If something changes in the price, for example because we need an extra part for the repairs, we'll discuss this with you first based on a quote.
  • The quote of your repair costs is valid for 2 weeks. If you haven't responded after that time, we assume you don't want the repairs.
  • Did you decide that we don't have to repair your device? You have to pay € 19.50 research costs, or € 59 if it's a Mac or MacBook for the time we've spent examining your device.

In the store

  • You can hand in your device for repairs in our store. Are you picking it up as well? You'll pay for the repairs or the research costs in the store first. After payment, we'll hand over your device.

Shipping and Pickup

  • You can also send us your device for repairs.
  • First, you'll have to register your device via the website. After registration, you'll receive the shipping instruction that includes how to label and package the shipment. Make sure you follow these instructions.
  • Save the proof of shipment at least until we confirm that we've received your device.
  • To return your device to you, we need your address. You can provide it when you register your device.
  • Are we sending your device to you? You'll first receive a payment link. After payment, the device is made ready for shipment. If you pay before 16:00, we'll almost always hand over your device to the carrier on the same day.

Specifics for Apple

  • For Apple devices, it's very important that the 'Find My' function has been deactivated. If this is still on, we can't start the repairs.
  • Are you paying for the repairs yourself? You can do this in the store. If your device is still under Apple's warranty, you don't have to pay any repair costs and you can keep the remaining warranty when repaired.
  • We don't repair some parts of Apple products ourselves. If one of those parts is broken, you'll receive a new device from Apple. This device doesn't have accessories and doesn't come new in the box, but it's unused and comes directly from the Apple factory.
  • You won't get your old device back, so make sure you always have a backup of the data on your device.
  • We can't guarantee that your device will still be completely dust and water-resistant after the repairs. We do give you a 3-month warranty on the replaced parts. Any other defect to your device that arises after the repairs or is caused by you isn't covered by the repairs warranty.

Specifics for Android

  • With Android devices, you have to pay for the repairs yourself. If your device is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, this manufacturer's warranty expires in case of repairs.
  • We can't guarantee that your device will still be completely dust and water-resistant after the repairs. We do give you a 12-month warranty on the replaced parts. Any other defect to your device that arises after the repairs or is caused by you isn't covered by the repair warranty.

No repairs (possible)

  • If we assess that the repairs can't be performed, we have the right to return your device unrepaired. You don't pay anything for that, of course. Unless it's because you don't cooperate fully with the repairs or haven't provided the asked information, or provided it wrongly. In that case, you pay the research costs of €19.50 or €59 if it's a Mac or MacBook.
  • Is the product serial number in a database of stolen or missing products? We have the right not to repair the device. The costs we have incurred up to that moment will be charged to you. We'll also report it to the police.

Ownership

  • If you agree to the repairs, you waive ownership of the parts we replace. You won't get the parts that we removed from your device back after the repairs.
  • If you won't pick up the device you handed in within 2 months or haven't payed in 2 months, we assume that you no longer want it and that you are fine with us keeping your device.

Liability

  • We'll handle your device as carefully as possible. However, parts that were already broken before the repairs may be further damaged during the repairs. We're not liable for this. Not even for small scratches that are the result of the repairs to your device.
  • If you send us your device, you bear the risk if your device gets lost or damaged.
  • Always make sure you have a backup of your device. We're not liable for loss of data.
  • If you include accessories that don't have to be repaired when you send us your phone, we're not liable when they're lost. So always remove the case, your SIM card, and (if applicable) the microSD.
  • If you sent us your device, we'll send the device back after the repairs to the address you provided. You're responsible for providing us with the correct address.

Other

  • Belgian law applies to these Terms and Conditions.
  • Personal data is processed according to the privacy statement of Coolblue.
